Whose corruption is worse Tommy or Michael's? I am prejudiced, always in Michael's favor! But Tommy pretends, or maybe even believes that he is good and straightforward and doing the right thing! Tommy does not seem to realize that he has indeed become the bad guy, two-faced-double-talker, and typically he works in two categories most Americans of any thoughtful ideals realize are the worst in our nation--politicians and real estate developers. See Tommy cheating and ratting and undercutting his fellow politicians, as in his promise to the black legislator "I slip the knife in and you heart will be dead before you know it!" Now that is really evil! And all done for the sake of controlling Rhodes Island! Tommy--shame on you! And buying up real estate with cheat-earned money promising it to a bigger rat in the cheater real estate developing business really makes him a low-down snake. The cheating on Eileen just because she confessed to cheating on him is..... well, unbelieveably low! Despite all this he tries to actually beat Mike drunkenly attacking, and realizing what danger there is in his attack just in time not to be killed by Mike! Tommy deserves every punishment he gets from the politicians, the realestate thieves, and women he uses just as punishment against a woman he has never treated properly.
Whose corruption is worse Tommy or Michael's?To me, that would be Tommy's. The Political world is definitely more corrupt than the everyday lives of the small time criminals. Tommy would never admit it, but he is worst than Michael. Just look at the interaction between the 2 brothers. Michael is always trying 2B helpful and supportive, and Tommy spends all his time and effort blaming his brother Michael for his troubles. Not telling your own brother someone is going to try and kill you, tells me he would rather have his brother dead and gone, to further his own political career. You have never seen Tommy offering to help out Michael, because Michael does not go to Tommy for help. Big brother stuff, and all.Although, Tommy has made a few deals with Freddie, to keep Michael safe. Tommy has sold his soul to the political devil, and has no intentions of ever repenting. He is like a spoiled child, when things don't go his way and the Speaker puts him in his place, who gets the brunt? Michael does. Tommy feels screwed, it's all Michael's fault. When will Tommy stand up and take responsibility for his own actions??
The political world has always been corrupt. At least Michael knows what he is, and doesn't hide behind a suit.
Have you ever had a Thanksgiving that turned out like the Caffee's?
Wowza. Thankfully, no. I don't think we've ever even had minor disagreements at our family gatherings. And now that I live so far away (Tennessee - family is in Ohio), the time that we do get together is precious. It's always been good food and and great family time.
Have you ever had a Thanksgiving that turned out like the Caffee's?Never quite that bad! I have six kids, a couple of daughter-in-law, a son-in-law, six grands, four greatgrands! We seldom get together anymore, because of long distance living and moving, but oh, my goodness! thank God for not having a son who runs out to murder a couple of guys, misses the most important target thus deserving dire punishment, and then dares to complain of the quality of the Thanksgiving dinner! But it really was a wonderful episode! It was funny, pathetic, demanding my sympathy! I'm glad Rose went out and found one of her many gentlemen callers from her checkered past and he was finally moved to whatever! Good for the elders! And I am equally happy that Kath finally told Mike how she sorrowed for their lost child! Altogether a very interesting and moving Holiday example!
Is Declan's plan clever or is he digging his own grave?I certainly do believe exactly that! Has he forgotten that Moe was a witness to his full drunken fury? Remember that cynical, evil look on Moe's face, and the way he gave Dec advice about getting rid of evidence, and even congratulating him on killing Moe's hated enemy? I think poor Dec is not thinking clearly!
